Welcome to PolyPaths - a newsletter that helps you pursue and excel at multiple paths in life, and embrace your truest self.

I, Apoorvaa Deshpande, identify as a polypath.  I consider myself an amalgamation of different identities - a techie, a musician, a researcher and a mom. I have always loved mathematics which led me to a path of research in cryptography and now, a tech job at Google. I have also always had music as another steady path in life, whether it is learning, creating or performing music. Something inside of me compels me to learn, grow and excel on different paths in life.

Isn’t that true for many of us? We all are walking on multiple paths in life all of which bring purpose and joy to us; some of us are lawyers and dancers, some of us are authors and bakers and hikers, some more of us are data scientists and musicians and parents. I truly believe that we shouldn’t restrict ourselves to a single label, and should celebrate all of our diverse identities which together make us one of a kind! Our story makes most sense with diverse, interleaved paths - we are the PolyPaths 🙂

Why subscribe?

In this newsletter, we will be exploring themes such as -

• Why should you pursue different paths in life? How do your multiple paths help each other and help you live a more authentic, fulfilled life?

• How can you design a life around all your passions and excel at multiple things? How can you make more time and energy for what you love?

• What have been my learnings and experiences? I will share my personal stories and musings on  my polypathic journey 🙂

I have been deeply interested in this topic for a while now, and I am excited to share my learnings with all of you. I am confident that these topics will resonate with you, as well as inspire you! And most importantly, we are building a community of PolyPaths that can learn and grow with each other, so I look forward to your thoughts and comments..
